We are learning which determiner to use - a or an.  Use the powerpoint below to learn more.  Then complete the task on the worksheet to practice.

Today we will be using the words we generated yesterday to write a description of the setting.  Use your words and put them into sentences making sure that you remember the following:

• Capital letters and full stops
• !
• Noun phrases (adjectives and nouns)
• Similes
• Different sentence openers

Friday

Today we will be proof reading and editing our writing from yesterday.  

1. Proofread your writing - check you have included all the things from the success criteria above.

2.  Edit your writing.  How will you make it better?  Could you add adjectives or adverbs?  Could you make a better choice of sentence starter?  Could you add an extra sentence describing a different part of the picture?

Once you have proofread and edited your work, present your work using your joined up handwriting and adding an illustration.
