Inuit Art

In art this term, children will learn about art, craft and traditions from Inuit culture.  They revisit the theme of animals (studied previously in Y4 Animal project) and observe the style/methods used by Inuit artists and craftspeople. Children build on their experience of reduction printing (previous taught in Y3 Ammonite project) to create detailed drawings of traditional carvings. Children develop their ideas about stencil print, making stencils using card/acetate and make a series of prints using chosen colour combinations.
