The children have now been taught all of the single letter sounds.

Spring Term 

 The children are now starting to read CVC words with greater pace and accuracy. Most children have been introduced to the term 'Special Friends' where two letters join together to make one sound. 

The special friends are:

sh  th  ch  qu  ng  nk

Also the special friends: 

ff   ll   ss  ck  

Practice the speed sounds then try and Fred talk the words to read them.

Practise reading your known sounds in words!
