Welcome toSt Nicholas Church of England Primary Academy

Monday

Subitising is when an amount is recognised by sight rather than counting and helps children become more fluent in Maths. Look at the pictures and see if you can say the correct amount without counting? Count the dots to see if you were correct, remembering to say one number for each dot.

During Independent Learning Time you could practice your subitising by playing a game you may have with a dice. Everytime you roll the dice can you recognise the amount without counting? Then practice your counting as you move the counter along your game.
