Do you want to be friends?

This term our topic is Do you want to be friends? We will concentrate initially on providing opportunities for children to become familiar with their new school environment and building relationships with adults and other children.

We started off the term by inviting parents and carers into school and sharing the story of The Kissing Hand together. You can listen to it here. The Kissing Hand

We have met other classes via Teams and had the opportunity to ask questions about their learning and share some of ours. We especially enjoyed learning a new song from The Apostles class and Mrs Macrae.

The children have explored a range of books to help them with their learning, we have read The Hungry Caterpillar story and worked together to sort the healthy and unhealthy food. When exploring number 3 there were lots of books to support us, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The 3 Little Pigs and The Billy Goats Gruff. We role-played together outside, using the planks and crates to make a bridge for the goats to go over and the troll to hide under.
