This term we are exploring 'Writing to Inform' and will be writing a range of reports. We will start by writing a non-chronological report about the Antarctic, followed by a newspaper report detailing the events of Ernest Shacketon's exploration journey. We will complete the term by writing chronological reports about the events of RMS Titanic and its fateful journey.
We are thoroughly enjoying reading our class reader this term 'Varjak Paw'. We have spent some time describing the main character while making predictions about how we think the story will evolve.

Today we completed our Newspaper reports, informing the reader that Ernest Shackleton and his crew had survived their grueling journey across the Antarctic. We used emotive language to engage and evoke a connection with the reader.
