Counting

Counting every day is vital in year 1.  Please try to count forwards and backwards in 1s to at least 50, 2s to 20 and 10s to 100!

In school we always start lessons with some counting activities. here are some counting music and action songs that you could use at home!

Lessons for this Week

This week we begin our length and height unit of work.  We will be learning to compare heights and lengths using the words longer, longest, long and short, shorter, shortest. We will then learn to measure accurately.   This is a very practical unit and many of the activities are practical ones so you will need to listen to the videos carefully and pause to carry out the activities.
