To be able to observe how water travels in a plant.

This week we are going to be doing an experiment to see how water travels through a plant. If you are able to carry out the experiment the instructions are on the link below. There is also a video showing the experiment.

1. You’re going to watch a short video. The aim isn't to find right answers, it's to explore ideas and find out what they know.

• Do you know what might happen based on the image

2. After you've watched the video, answer these questions: This week you can answer the questions from the video and then next week's Science lesson you can answer them with your experiment.

• Were your predictions correct?
• What were the changes before and after?
• Which parts of the plant are working?
• What does this tell us about the needs of a plant?
