Animal Parts

Vocabulary:

Carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, amphibian, bird, fish, invertebrates, mammals, reptiles.

This terms science project is all about animals. To start with, we will discuss what makes an animal.

We will then learn that we can sort animals into six groups: amphibians, birds, fish, invertebrates, mammals and reptiles.

We will also learn that different animal groups have similar and different body parts and that body parts have a purpose. For example, fish have gills to breathe underwater and birds have its to fly.

After we have learnt how to sort animals into six categories, we will then develop the knowledge further and sort animals by what they eat.
