The Monarchs that we will be learning about are ...

We introduced lots of new vocabulary today which link to our new topic this term.

Today we looked at all the great British Monarchs! We worked in small groups to choose a Monarch each and discuss when they reigned. We then placed them on our timeline!

Today we explored Royal Residencies- we named them and looked on maps to explore where they are in the United Kingdom! We discussed together the significance of these special homes! We then looked at some of the Kings and Queens and thought about how much power they had when they ruled the country!

Today’s learning was looking at Monarch’s self portraits and finding artefacts! We were great Historians!

Alfred the Great!

To learn about hierarchy in past societies!

William the Conqueror...

Trying to understand the positives and negatives of King Henry’s reign of England!
