Reconsolidation and Problem Solving

In Maths this term we will be continuing our reconsolidation of previous learning. We will revisit the four operations, fractions, decimals and percentages before applying these into a variety of different word problems. Worded problems can often seem difficult as they require thought into what operations are required and whether the answer can be obtained in one step or whether it requires multiple stages of working. We will focus a lot of our time on reading various problems and understanding what information we need to use and how to obtain the correct answer.

Year 6 SATs testing will take place the week commencing 9th May 2022. 

The Maths papers will be sat as follows:

Wednesday 11th May 2022 - Paper 1 (Arithmetic) and Paper 2 (Reasoning)

Thursday 12th May 2022 - Paper 3 Reasoning
