Read the story of the Gingerbread Man , if you don't have the story click on the link to watch it - The Gingerbread Man

When you have listened to the story choose a character and write something about them. You could write 'The Gingerbread Man can run fast' or the 'the lady is old'. 

Parents remember that the children will use the sounds that they know and can hear. For example, for the word 'old' they may hear the new sound 'oa' and 'l' and 'd' and write 'oald', this is find for them to use their phonics knowledge. Some children may only hear the 'oa' sound at the beginning of the work and the last sound 'd'. For 'lady' they may hear the sounds 'l' 'ai' 'd' 'ee'. I can't wait to see all your fantastic writing. You could draw a picture alongside your writing.
