Saints Class fall straight into forces this term, including force of gravity, the effects of air resistance, water resistance and friction. We will be looking at how the first theory of gravity was developed and mechanisms including; levers, pulleys and gears.
As some of you will know, the discovery of the theory of gravity was first hypothesised by Sir Isaac Newton who is important in our local history in Boston. Isaac Newton was born in Lincolnshire in the nearby town of Grantham and was one of the most influential scientists of all time. We will be following in his footsteps by exploring the effects of gravity through investigations as well as the other forces that impact on our daily lives.
