Welcome to Pilgrim's class.
Welcome back everyone. Mrs Oliver, Mrs Clarke and Miss Taylor cannot wait to see all of your amazing learning and see all of you letting your lights shine brightly.
Our topic this term is BLUE ABYSS.
During this topic, we are going to be exploring our incredible oceans and looking at the damage that have been caused to them over time due to issues such as pollution and over fishing. We will be locating the different oceans of our planet and the wonderful creatures that inhabit them.
Our PE days remain as Monday and Wednesday this term. Children are to continue to come to school in their PE kit on both of these days. Please make sure that children have a water bottle with them.
I am so excited to say that we have seen a huge rise in reading recently. This is FANTASITC and I cannot wait to see this continue through the Summer term.
As I am sure you are all aware, reading is an incredibly important part of education and is linked to increased progress in all areas of learning. The expectation is that children will be reading five times per week and this is to be recorded in their reading records.
This will be celebrated by children being entered into a draw, and the chance to win a prize in celebration assembly on Fridays.
Keep checking back for any updates and to see examples of the learning in action and/or follow us on Twitter @StNPilgrims.
