Wednesday Soft C Activity - Word changers
A NEW activity learning about ROOT words and SUFFIXES. Children need to learn to recognise the root part of words and then add the suffix to the end of it.
Thursday Spelling Soft C Choose the right word activity
Read the sentence and choose the correct word to put in the box to make the sentence make sense!
Again this is the first time the children have tried this so no worries if they don't get any right to start with! They will improve each week as they understand more and more about what is expected.

Friday Spelling Soft C Dictation Sentences.mp4
Today the children need to listen carefully to Mrs MacRae's sentences! She will read them three times each. They will all include the soft c words that we have been learning throughout the week and some high frequency words ( tricky red words). The children need to remember the sentence and write it down as quickly as they can! Don't forget to use capital letters, finger spaces, best handwriting and full stops!
We haven't done this activity before, so again they may be a little slow and confused to begin with but after a few tries they will get the hang of it!
