Summer

The value for Term 5 is Love.

Should you always help someone in need?

The Good Samaritan

The Parable of the Good Samaritan teaches that we should show mercy and compassion to others, regardless of their race, religion, or social status. In the story, a Samaritan helps a man who was half-dead and robbed on the side of the road, while others, including a priest and a Levite, pass him by. The parable conveys the idea of unconditional love and mercy, similar to the love that Jesus shows humanity.

The value for Term 6 will be Responsibility.

Is everyone equally responsible for looking after the world?

The Parable of the Talents

Jesus uses the Parable of the Talents to help us understand our calling as Christians and our responsibility to use what God has given us to bring Him glory and honor! We have the most valuable gift of all, the Word of God and the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. This gift is for us to share with others through our words and actions. It is a great responsibility with great reward as described in the Parable of the Talents.
