This week we will continue to focus our reading on reading independently and answering questions! On Monday we look in more detail of t he whole class text which is Fantastic Mr Fox at the moment. This week we have also started a poem of the week which all the children will have a copy of in their gift bag from Father Christmas Called 'Crazy Mayonnaisy Mum'. Each week we will read a different poem and then the children and you can read it and discus it together at home. 

The rest of the week  focusses on learning to read independently and making sure that the children are understanding what they are reading by answering question. There are two different levels currently available. Most should be accessing Phase 5 , even if they need a bit of support but if it is really too tricky opt for the Phase 2 level texts.
