Scented Garden

Tiptoe through the tulips as your senses discover the blooming foliage and enchanting fragrances of flowers and herbs.

Round and round the mulberry bush we go, planting bulbs and seeds, and then watch them grow beneath sunshine and showers.

Explore the astounding world of the scented garden, but be careful, there are some wild and dangerous plants out there that do astonishing things! Don't touch them!

Use the marvellous properties of plants, flowers and herbs to make an exceptional gift for somebody special.

Everything is coming up roses. Why not grow your own?

Before making our scented gift bag we needed to practise our cutting techniques, as cutting felt is really tricky!

Beginning our sewing! Practising our over stitch and running stitch!

Making Scented Play Dough! The children had a wonderful afternoon creating their own play dough using herbs from our allotment to create different smells! They followed the instructions well!

Companion Project ‘What’s On Your Wellies? The children walked around our outside area with their wellies on! We walked on the grass, we explored the allotment area and we even stomped over our newly dug up wildflower garden! We then scraped off the mud into a tray, mixed it with compost and watered it! I wonder if anything will grow?

Wow Day! We explored how we can eat different parts of plants, from the root to the fruit. We looked at and planted some garden herbs, we made maps of our newly planted vegetables in the allotment and started digging out our new wild flower garden to encourage bees and butterflies in to o our school environment!
