Write the following words on separate pieces of paper    -     I    no      go      to      the   he    she    we    me    be     into - place face down and choose a word and read. Remember they are 'tricky words' so you can't sound them out.

Take the words 'no' and 'go'. Look at the letters/graphemes and the order they are written. Say the letters and then face the paper down. Can you write the word, check the paper to see if you have written the word correctly. Repeat with 'I' and 'to' .

Ask an adult to read out the sentence, one word at a time, 'no I can go'. Write the sentence remembering to start at the left, write the letters correctly (use the sound mat below to help) and sit the letters on the line.
