This term our topic links nicely with our science unit ‘animals’. The children will be developing their knowledge of shape, colour, pattern and texture as they paint various big cats. They will also explore the term ‘camouflage’ and create a piece of collage artwork. They will be singing songs about animals and have the opportunity to use their voices and percussion instruments to perform to other children. The children will also draw their own map of a zoo and then they will design and create their own zoo enclosure. They will have to think about the animals habitat and what they may need. This is where the children get to use their science learning.
