During our topic learning this term, we will be focusing on Charles Darwin: his initial ideas, the Theory of Evolution, and his legacy. Darwin completed a large amount of his work on the 16 Galapagos islands in the Pacific Ocean around 1000km from South America. 

One main focus will be looking at how animals on the Galapagos islands have adapted over thousands of years to survive in their environment, such as how finches have different shaped beaks to eat specific foods.

We will also think about how present day technology / research could have affected Darwin's ideas and beliefs if he were alive today.
