In Maths this term, we will be focusing our learning on area, perimeter and volume as well as recapping all 4 operations as we look to equip Year 6 with the fundamentals needed to be successful in the next stage of their education.

By the end of these units our children should be able to:

Calculate area of triangles and parallelograms

Calculate volume of cubes and cuboids

Solve addition and subtraction multi-step problems

Multiply 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers

Divide numbers up to 4-digits by 2-digits

Find equivalents, simplify, add and subtract fractions with different denominators
