This week we move onto our poetry reading unit! This will give us an opportunity to enjoy poems together. Don't forget to spend some time enjoying your new poetry book that Santa left you at Christmas!

The Chinese New Year of 2021 falls on February 12th (Friday), and the festival will last to February 26th, about 15 days in total. 2021 is a Year of the Ox according to Chinese zodiac. As an official public holiday, Chinese people can get seven days' absence from work, from February 11th to 17th.

My favourite part of the poem was the part when they saw coloured fireworks because I love the idea of seeing the different colours popping across the sky!
