This term we will be working in smaller groups to focus our phonics lessons on what each child needs to make progress.  The children will either work with Mrs MacRae, Mrs Smith, Miss Burt or Mrs Harrison to ensure they are taught at the correct level for them.

Mrs MacRae's Reading Group

Mrs MacRae's group will focus on recapping phase 5 in spelling, tricky words and reading for meaning. This will involve them reading texts and answering questions based on what they have read.

Mrs Smith's Group

Mrs Smith's group will be revisiting the phase 5 sounds.  They will be using them in reading and spelling as well as learning the tricky words.

Miss Burt's Group

Miss Burt's group will be revisiting the phase 3 sounds in both reading and spelling.  They will also be focussing on the reading and spelling of the phase 2 and 3 tricky words.

Mrs Harrison's Group

Mrs Harrison's group will be revisiting the phase 3 sounds in both reading and spelling.  They will also be focussing on the reading and spelling of the phase 2 and 3 tricky words.
