School Days

This term our history project is all about school. During this project, we will learn all about our school, St Nicholas  Church of England Primary Academy and its history. We will look at key events that have changed our school such as moving locations and joining Infinity Academies.

After learning all about our school and its past, we will then look at the Victorian era and what schools were like. We will compare what Victorian classrooms and the curriculum were like to how ours is today.

We will also learn about Samuel Wilderspin, an important figure in the development of schooling for young children in the Victorian era, whose ideals are reflected in schooling today.

We will continue our learning of describing the passage of time through study of past, present and future tense vocabulary which builds on our learning from our previous history project, Childhood.
