At St Nicholas CE Primary Academy, we believe that all pupils should develop physical literacy and possess the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and life long participation in physical activity and sport.

This funding aims to improve the quality and breadth of PE and Sport participation and achievement across the whole school. At St Nicholas CE Primary Academy we believe that all children should develop physical literacy and possess the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to prepare them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. The funding will help to provide new opportunities for the children to participate in new sports and sports that they love whilst building teamwork and sportsmanship skills.  Through this investment, we will see not only an increase in active participation, but an enjoyment of a wider range of sport and physical education through a range of activities and learning experiences.
