Maths this term is taking on new challenges as Prophets class expand on their previous Year 5 learning. Fractions, decimals and percentages will be the focus for Year 6 and how they can combine these separate skills. The application of all three skills at once can be extremely challenging so we will be working hard to make sure this becomes second nature.

Times tables continue to be of vital importance as always in Maths and by Year 6 the children are expected to know all of their tables and division facts up to 12 x 12. Year 6 should be completing 10 minutes per night on Times Table Rock Stars as well as their daily reading in order to secure their understanding.
