    Places of Worship

    Vocabulary:

    Church, candle, altar, font, Holy Communion, Last Supper 

    During the summer term, we will be looking at different places of worship. This term, we will be focussing on Christian places of worship. 

    We will learn that a place of worship is a special place and that a Christian place of worship is a church. We will then focus on key features of a church such as: candles,  the altar and the font.

    We looked at the meaning of perseverance and the story of Noah's Ark. we then acted out the story.

    Our classroom became a church. We had an altar, a font and the children's chairs turned interesting pews. We discussed these features and explained why they are special to some Christians.
