Why is the word 'God' so important to Christians?

This term, we will be learning about the creation story and how Christians believe God created the World

By the end of the term, children will be able to understand that:

• the word 'God' is a name

• that Christians believe that God is the creator of the universe

• that Christians believe that God made this beautiful World and so we should look after it

• Christians try to show love to others.

The children could talk about the Christian story 'Noah's Ark' and make links between how we must look after the Earth. They discussed how we should treat other people, animals and nature to keep everyone safe and happy. The children enjoyed acting out the story using our outdoor construction area.
