Year 4: Pilgrims

2024-2025

As part of Science Week, we were lucky enough to join a live lesson where we met Dr Harriet (a cow geneticist), learnt about how poo can be useful in farming, and also joined Tom the chef in making a 'zero-waste' meal that we were all excited to try at home! Before the lesson, we made a list of what we thought farmers do as part of their job and also drew what we thought farmers looked like. The most exciting part was that during the live lesson, we got to see the birth of a calf live on camera (I think you can tell which pictures were taken during this part of the lesson!)

Choosing books for World Book Day! We loved the '1,111 Answers to Everything' book but our winner was 'Minecraft Ideas'!

Year 4's trip to Lincoln Castle to expand our knowledge of the Anglo-Saxons! We became archaeologists and excavated some Anglo-Saxon artefacts. We then used these artefacts to help us make informed decisions on whether our Anglo-Saxon skeleton was a male or female!
