Summer 2 Wisdom

Lots of people believe that you have to be old to be wise, this term we will explore if that is true or if in fact everyone can show wisdom!  What do you think?  Try asking your friends and family who they know is wise and what they do to show it.

Summer 1 - Perseverance

Perseverance means “not giving up” or “hanging in there until you complete the task you started.”  To help your child understand this when your  child sticks to a task, point it out: “There’s perseverance for you. You hung in there with your work even though it was hard.”

Spring 2 - Hope

How do you explain hope to a child?

Definition: to wish for (something) believing that it might be true or that it might happen.

There are lots of examples of hope in the Bible but we will be using the stories of Moses to help us explore the theme this term.

Spring 1 Courage

What is courage? How can we overcome fear to be courageous? 

We will start by looking at the story of David and Goliath from the Bible, thinking about the courage that David had to show that day and how by showing courage he defeated the seemingly impossible!

Autumn 2 - Generosity

This term we will start our values work by hearing the story of Elisha and the widow's oil.  We will explore how the story shows generosity.  We will then talk about how we can show generosity to others.

Autumn Term 1 - Creativity 

Our value for this term is 'Creativity' with our Bible Story of the term being 'The Creation Story'.
